As of June 5, Alison is on summer break from her job teaching elementary school art! She will use the summer to dive into all things clay: making wares for holiday markets, experimenting with glaze combinations, prepping for NCECA 2027 in Baltimore, etc. She’ll spend four weeks in July teaching ceramics to middle school students in the Middle Grades Partnership program as the 2026 NCECA Ann W. and Bill Bracker Youth Educator fellow. And she is very excited to become a student herself, both at Touchstone Center for Crafts and Peters Valley School of Craft. Yay, clay!
